We certainly can’t complain about how busy we were over this past weekend giving walking tours through Old Town. We had the opportunity to meet visitors from the United States and abroad. We had U.S. visitors from Pennsylvania, Florida, and California. Our overseas visitors came from France, South Korea, and Canada. Easily one of the best parts about being a walking tour guide is the opportunity to learn a little bit about where are guests are from. I think the most interesting thing we learned this weekend was about the similarities between Old Town Alexandria and Kingston, Canada. Kingston is located in Ontario and has a similar cobble-stoned “Old Town” area. They have a small historic district that our guests could easily relate to while visiting Alexandria.
We had a few guests stop by the Alexandria Visitor’s Center and inquire about the Pub Crawl. Unfortunately they just missed the launch time. If that ever happens, please email us and we will set up a tour for you. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to experience Old Town Alexandria.
Monday at 12pm: Sweet History; meet in front of the Lyceum
